KAI JACKSON
An award-winning writer, print and broadcast journalist, Kai Jackson has been covering, and uncovering, stories for two decades. From the 9-11 terrorist attacks to Hurricane Hugo, Jackson has immersed himself in the stories that helped create the tapestry of our neighborhoods and, in some cases, our country. In addition to his work as a news anchor and reporter, Jackson has been a business print reporter, advertising copy writer and gubernatorial speech writer – adding still more to the prism through which Jackson views every new story.
Born and raised in the National Capital Region of Maryland, Kai’s proximity to the nation’s capital introduced him at an early age to national and international news, daily exposure to a global perspective that would eventually take him to Ghana for his first foray into documentary production. Jackson, who now lives in the Baltimore area, is married with a young daughter and in his free time enjoys Shotokan Karate.
